The outdoor market opens at 5 am. The indoor market opens at 7:30 am. If your shopping in the Adamstown area during these weekends you will often hear that shoppers and dealers alike say, “I go to Renninger’s first.”

The outdoor market will begin at 5 am on Saturday for some exhibitors who make a two-day event out it. The indoor market is not open on Saturdays. The main show, however, is Sunday, when the majority of dealers set-up and the indoor market is open.

The Cottonseed Oil Mill dates back to 1900 and operated until 1979. It was largely vacant and unused until 2011, when the City of New Roads restored the building to host the first annual Market at the Mill. The event was so successful that it is now a biannual shopping extravaganza that has grown to 135 vendors, attracting up to 5,000 visitors throughout the weekend. 

3rd weekend in April

This popular two-day springtime event features juried booths brimming with antiques, vintage furnishings and collectibles, fine arts and crafts, music, food and more. Held on the 3rd weekend of April in the downtown historic district.
